How do we use Forum Theatre to help young people to stay at home
in order to stop Brain Drain.

Roni: Brain Drain (Young people leaving the country right after they finish their education, instead of staying in their countries and giving best to it) is a big problem in Debar as well as in Macedonia.
Debar, 10 years ago, had 25.000 inhabitants. Today, due to the big rate of emmigration, has 12.000 inhabitants.
Mo0st of the young people go to work in Amerca, but they don’t manage to earn enough money there, and they are not happy there either. Soon after, they want to come back home, but they are embarressed to come home and say, that they "failed". Also they are afraid from the reaction of the people in the local coummunity ("you are not man enough, you went to America and you failed to make money there"). Although this problem / situation exists, the trend of brain-drain is still actual in Debar.

Glenn: Forum Theatre can be used to educate people in order to help them understand the problem.

Eesat: Parents of young people should be one of the target groups, because they don’t want their children to go away.

Glenn: Both young people and older ones should be educated about this problem.

Jasmina: Thje politicians / policy makers should be involved in treating this issue as well. One of the reasons for brain-drain is that there aren’t equal opportunities for everyone. System that will provide equal opportunities need to be etablished also. We need to fight the nepotism.

Vali: Forum Theatre is a chicky way of getting people interested in this problem.
Glenn: Community regeneration and rebuilding is needed.
